Jack O'Lanterns
Classic example of a Western Jack o' Lantern
Western Jack o' Lanterns grow in clusters
and usually favor decaying stumps and logs
To the inexperienced, Jack o' Lanterns are sometimes mistaken
for Chanterelles. It is a mistake that will have unfortunate consequences.
Left undisturbed, Western Jack o' Lanterns will return year after year.
Found this expressive Western Jack o' Lantern one New Year's Day.
Stumbled upon by accident; not able to find my way back to it.
