Newts Migrate!
9 November 2003
During the wet winter months California Newts migrate across Hicks Road.
They begin their migration soon after the first autumn rains.
Newts travel great distances to return to their breeding ponds.
They find damp, protected places to rest during the heat of the day.
Newts are sensitive, fragile creatures: observe, but do not disturb them.
